Layout Rubric
This is the rubric I'll be using to score all layouts that are submitted in the tournament. If you have any questions or need clarification on anything, please send me an email.
- CSS: 10 points This is where I'll look at how you styled your links, font, headers, etc., and how well those styles work with the image and colors of the layout. Valid CSS will hlep your score, but invalid coding will not hurt your score.
- Navigation/Content Areas: 10 points I'll be comparing the two to each other. Large navigation spaces and itty bitty content areas will hurt your score, as will too-small navigation and too-large content areas. Keep everything relatively proportional.
- Image: 10 points I'll look at your image, how you edited the image, what effects or brushes you used...you get the idea. Simple head images won't hurt your score, as long as they are complimented nicely by the rest of the layout.
- Color Choice: 10 points This is an easy part to gain points. I'll be looking for colors that compliment each other and the image used in your layout. Just try to avoid clashing colors like hot pink and neon green together.
- Credits: 5 points Here are five easy points. Credit as much as possible; I try to credit all images, brushes, textures, and non-standard fonts. If you're having a hard time finding a link, don't forget Google--it's certainly come to my resuce more than once!
